Hit your drives farther
I am sure you have seen tons of infomercials trying to sell you tips, tools,
gadgets and golf clubs to help you hit the ball farther. Well I don't
care what club you are using, how fast you can swing, or what ball you're
hitting; if you can't hit the ball in the right spot at the right time
you will not be bale to hit it as far as you can.
Hitting the ball from the inside path before contact and the outside path after
contact is the only way to hit a golf ball. It is the only way to assure solid
contact between the golf club and the golf ball. From the inside path the full
mass of the golf club and the golfer swinging it gets behind the ball to propel it into the cosmos. Any other path will create
more of a slapping effect to the ball which not only will get less mass behind
the ball creating a small moment of inertia but also creating excess spin which
will cause the ball to balloon up into the air and when it comes to the ground
have very little roll.
The inside out path is a strategy that simply must be embraced by all golfers. It is used on every shot with the exception of the putting stroke.
Here are some tips to check your swing path:
1. Set two tees before the ball and after the ball. Placement should be outside of target line before the ball and inside after the ball (exactly opposite of what you want) this way if you hit either one of the tees out of the ground
you know your swing path is flawed.
2. Use white tees while hitting a driver. Clean the bottom of your club so you
can see the imprints. You want to see the tees marks either going straight back
or towards the heel of your club, if they are pointing towards the toe then
your swing path is outside in.
Hopefully these golf swing tips will help
you hit all of your golf drivers straighter and longer.
